A Franciscan thinks the biggest sin is getting in God's way.    A Franciscan doesn't claim an atom of the world as one's own. A Franciscan really isn't concerned about saving his soul; just loves and trusts God. A Franciscan stumbles with the lame and flies with the angels at the same time. A Franciscan grasps life and death with both hands and does not throw them away. Even asleep, a Franciscan is a consummate liturgist. A Franciscan finds the light by crawling into dark caves. A Franciscan is able to cry and doesn't excuse his weeping saying "I'm all right.   It's nothing." A Franciscan laughs genuinely and merrily and never just to cover over ones fears. A Franciscan gets to know others by first loving them; and not the other way around. A Franciscan never expects a price for love and never tries to buy it. A Franciscan knew all along that trees talk to one another.
