Full day orientation of Cairo including a visit to the Egyptian Museum. Designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum is located in a handsome neo-classical building on Tahrir Square. Its collections exceed 120,000 masterpieces, ranging from the pre-dynastic era, to the Pharaonic and Greco- Roman periods. Undoubted highlights are the collection of rare treasures of King Tutankhamen. Before returning to your hotel stop by the vibrant coloured Khan al Halil market. The shops and bazaars display and sell a dizzying array of trinkets and artworks, giving you the chance to take home a small piece of Egyptian culture and civilisation. Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Sakkara -Full Day Tour. Finally, you'll head over to Memphis. Not the home of Elvis, of course, but the ancient capital of Egypt. Start your tour by visiting the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. The highlight of this section is getting close up to the Sphinx - the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. Admire the impressive statue and get your photo taken beside it. You will then visit Sakkara, a 27 km journey away from Cairo. The highlight of this section is the Step Pyramid. Built for King Zoser, it is considered an important part in the process of the pyramid evolution. Dinner and overnight Cairo.

Drive to Caesarea where Paul was imprisoned and Cornelius baptized, visit the Roman Theater, Aqueduct, and the Crusader ruins. Ascend Mt. Carmel- where the Prophet Elijah confronted the pagan priests ( 1st Kings 18). Continue to our hotel in Galilee for dinner and overnight stay.

Tour the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of the Beatitudes and Tabgha - the site of the Feeding of the Multitudes and the Church of St. Peter’s Primacy. Visit Capernaum and Simon Peter's house for Mass celebration. We shall take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and enjoy a lunch of St. Peter’s Fish. Visit the newly excavated Magdala. Dinner and overnight in the Galilee.

Ascend to the top of Mount Tabor - the site of the Transfiguration - where we shall celebrate Mass. On to Cana – where we shall renew our marriage vows. Ascend to the top of Mt Precipice where Jesus escaped the crowds. Dinner and overnight in the Galilee.
Tuesday, May 30
Start the day by celebrating Mass in Nazareth at the magnificent Church of the Annunciation built on top of Virgin Mary's house. Visit the synagogue where Jesus stood to proclaim and preach the stirring words of Isaiah (Luke 4:16-27). Drive via the Jordan Valley to the Jordan River to renew Baptismal vows and continue to Masada site of the Jewish Zealots' last stand against the Romans. See the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were written discovered and enjoy a floating experience in the Dead Sea. Ascend the Holy City. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem/Bethlehem

Begin our journey in nearby Bethlehem to visit the ancient Church of Nativity where we shall celebrate Mass. Enjoy your shopping in a Bethlehem bazaar and later visit Manger Square and the beautiful Shepherds' Fields. Return to Jerusalem to explore Mt. Zion: David's Tomb, the Room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey - site of the Assumption of the Virgin. Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem/Bethlehem.
Thursday, June 01
Morning Mass inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continue to Mt of Olives: Chapel of Ascension and Palm Sunday Road. Walk Inside the Old City of Jerusalem along the Stations of the Cross; visit the various quarters and the underground excavations. See the Temple ruins and the Western Wall amidst the buildings of old Jerusalem. End the day at St Peter in Gallicantu (cock-crowing) built over the palace of the High Priest Caiaphas. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem/Bethlehem.

LISBON | FATIMAThe group will arrive in Lisbon to start the journey with a panoramic sightseeing tour of Portugal’s capital city, passing by the main avenues, "downtown" with the Rossio and Comercio Squares, continue with a drive to the Alfama, the oldest quarter of Lisbon, to visit the Church of St. Anthony, the nearby St. Anthony Museum and the Cathedral. Then proceed to the monumental district of Belem to see the Belem Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jeronimos Church. In the late afternoon depart for Fatima, one of the most famous Marian Shrines in Europe. Participate in the Rosaries and Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
FATIMA In the morning, the group will visit the small village of Aljustrel, home of Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, the three children who witnessed the Apparitions of the Blessed Mother starting in 1917. The group will then visit Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared in August of that year as well as the parish church where the children were baptized and where family members were buried in the cemetery. In the afternoon, visit some of the highlights of Fatima including the Capelinha (also known as the “Chapel of the Apparitions”) as well as the Basilica. This basilica contains, among other things, the tombs of two of the children of Fatima, Jacinta and Francisco. Then explore Fatima on your own, shop for religious articles and other souvenirs, or spend time in private devotion. An optional video presentation on the history of Fatima will be offered in the evening at the Consolata Fathers Center. Participate in the Rosaries and Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
FATIMA | SALAMANCA | ALBA DE TORMES | AVILAAfter breakfast, departure to Salamanca. Saint Teresa's presence in Salamanca can be seen from Plaza Mayor square to the University. In the square you can see a medallion dedicated to the saint, and she is Doctor Honoris Causa of Salamanca University. In the New Cathedral there is a chapel in her honor, and she used to go to the Convent of San Esteban to ask the Dominican friars for advice. Saint Teresa of Ávila wrote a kind chronological diary of her travels: "The Book of Her Foundations." She was commissioned to write this book by the Jesuit community at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Proceed to Alba de Tormes, where you can visit Santa Teresa of Ávila’s tomb and see two of her most important relics: her heart and her left arm. Dinner and overnight in Avila.
ÁVILA | FONTIVEROS | BURGOSFollowing breakfast visit Ávila. The City of Kings and of Saints completely encircled by 11th century walls. This is the Birthplace of St. Theresa, one of the greatest mystics of the Church. Depart to Fontiveros, birthplace of St John of the Cross. Visit the Church of St. Cipriano where Saint John of the Cross was baptised –John, instrumental in founding the Discalced Carmelites-. Proceed to Burgos. Dinner and overnight in Burgos.
BURGOS | LOYOLA/AZPEITIA | LOURDESFollowing breakfast, visit of Burgos. In addition to the architectural masterpiece of Burgos which is the Cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the Royal Monastery of Huelgas Reales together with the famous Chapel of Saint James the Apostle, Burgos is where Saint Teresa arrived here in 1581 to establish her last convent: the Convent of San José and Santa Ana. Here you can see several of Saint Teresa's relics, such as her espadrilles, a veil and a letter that she wrote. We may also visit the Church of San Ginés, where Saint Teresa would go to Mass. Following Saint Teresa's footsteps, pass by the Hospital of La Concepción and the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian, where she stayed. Continuation to Loyola /Azpeitia, birthplace of Ignatius of Loyola. Visit of the Loyola sanctuary built on the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Order of the Jesuits. Continue to Lourdes. Participate in the Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
LOURDES After breakfast, participate in a walking tour of Lourdes, the town so closely linked to the life of St. Bernadette. Visit the “Boly Mill” (site of the birthplace of St. Bernadette), and the “Cachot,” another home of the family. In fact, this is where she lived at the time of the Apparitions. Also visit the parish church of her family (where St Bernadette was baptized). Participate in the Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
LOURDES | TOULOUSE After breakfast, free time for devotions. Depart for Toulouse where we shall visit of the the Carmelite convent, built in the 17th Century with its remarkable 17th Century painted murals by Jean-Pierre and 18th Century paintings by Jean-Baptiste Despax. Visit church of the Jacobins - burial place of St Thomas of Aquinas and the Basilica of St Sernin. Dinner and overnight in Toulouse.
TOULOUSE |BARCELONA Following breakfast, depart to Barcelona. Following lunch, a panoramic visit of the city or half day walking tour , seeing La Monumental Bullring, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Joan Miro Park, Fountain of 3 Rivers, The Venetian towers, Magic Fountain, Olympic Stadium, Port of Barcelona, Christopher Columbus Column, Las Ramblas and other sites. Transfer to the hotel in Barcelona. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.
BARCELONA | MONTSERRAT | BARCELONA Following breakfast drive to Manresa, to visit the cave of St. Ignatius and to Montserrat to visit one of the most famous monasteries of Spain, the so called “National Monument” of Catalunya - in the middle of a spectacular landscape. Return to Barcelona for a free late afternoon. Dinner and farewell in Barcelona.

Salzburg: The highlights of our morning walking tour will include the Cathedral where Mozart was baptized and the 12th century St. Peter’s Church. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Salzburg/Sound of Music Tour/Innsbruck: Our morning tour follows the trail of the Sound of Music. Driving into the Salzkammergut, Austria’s lake district, we’ll visit the beautiful lakeside resort of St. Wolfgang, famous for its White Horse Inn. In Mondsee, we’ll visit the village church where the wedding scene of the Sound of Music was filmed. Later, we continue through the Tirol which brings to mind Alpine valleys, rushing rivers and villages of flower-covered chalets. In Innsbruck, our walking tour of the old city will include the historic and architecturally beautiful Maria-Theresienstrasse to see the Goldenes Dachl (the Golden Roof of Maximilian’s Balcony). Bulzano Excursion/St. Ulrich/Innsbruck: Our excursion this morning takes us over the famous Brenner Pass into northern Italy where we visit Bolzano. The city’s Italian-Austrian character gives it the unique flavor of a city at the crossroads between Italian and Austrian cultures. Later, we pass through the Dolomites and see their sheer pink and yellow limestone pinnacles that tower over quaint villages flowery meadows, wooded valleys, and sun-soaked trails. Italian, Austrian and ancient Ladin cultures intermingle peacefully in the small, scattered villages in this mountainous corner of Italy. We will have some free time to explore the quiet village of St. Ulrich, also known by its Ladin name of Ortisei. The residents of this charming village, in the heart of very traditional Val Gardena, Display their talents in the town’s boutiques and artist studios. Dinner is on your own this evening. Innsbruck/the Island of Mainau/Lucerne: This morning will depart Austria and cross the Arlberg Pass en
route to beautiful Lake Constance. Here, we’ll visit the island of Mainu, known as “the Island of Flowers.” It is a unique experience for senses, with its thousands of colors, shapes and scents. In the spring, tulips,
narcissus and orchids bloom; in May, rhododendrons; in summer; roses, and in the autumn dahlias, as far as the eye can see. Palms, citrus fruits and butterflies spread a tropical flair. Later we continue to Lucerne, the jewel of Swiss resorts, our home for two nights. Dinner will be served at our hotel this evening (B, D)
Lucerne: The highlights of our morning walking tour will include the Lion Monument, commemorating the death of the brave Swiss guards; the old covered wooden bridge across the Reuss River; and the charming architecture of the old city. The afternoon is free to shop for Swiss watches or cuckoo clocks, or to take an optional tour to Mt. Pilatus. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight Lucerne. (B)
Lucerne/Hohenschwangau. This afternoon we motor through the spectacular Swiss and Bavarian
countryside en route to Hohenschwangau. This afternoon we’ll visit King Ludwig. It’s most famous castle,
Neuschwantein. While being a formidable fortress, it was designed by a theatrical decorator, not an
architect, which explains its dream-like atmosphere. Our hotel is located in lovely Hohenschwangau,
overlooking Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. Dinner will be served at our hotel this evening.(B, D)
